Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A) OUL
A combination of retinal (Vitamin A) and palmitic acid, which is found in palm and coconut oil. Retinal is important for maintaining healthy eyesight, but also contributes to healthy skin by helping turn immature skin cells into healthy adult cells. In its role as an antioxidant, it helps prevent by-products of oxidation from causing cellular damage.
Ergocalciferol (Vitamin D2) OUL
Vitamin D can be made when certain wavelengths of light strike the skin. It has been recognized for many years for its role in forming strong bones and teeth, and is essential for health.
Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) OUL
Vitamin E is found in spinach and almonds, and has been shown to help protect the skin against the harmful UV radiation of the sun.

Mineral Oil OUL
A lightweight oil that helps moisturize the skin and prevent water loss, it has the added advantage of being non-pore-clogging.

Sodium Hydroxide is used to control pH balance, to keep things from becoming too acidic.
