Original Udder Balm History
Udder balms have been around for over 100
years, one of the most successful farm formulations being a petrolatum
or petroleum jelly based product. A new petrolatum free formula was
developed over 35 years ago using aloe vera and lanolin, and Original
Udder Balm moisturizing cream was born.
Originally developed to help protect dairy
cows sensitive udders from the extremes of weather, including heat,
cold, sun, rain, and snow. It was originally used by dairy farmers to
soften and protect cows udders which would dry, chap and crack under the
severe conditions making milking painful and difficult.
For many years farm families knew that the
secrets of soft smooth skin was in that jar of udder balm out in the
barn. Eventually word moved off the farm of how wonderful this product
was on peoples skin, and many other people discovered its fabulous
properties and it moved from the farm into the home. Now it can be found
on many store shelves, and doctors offices around the country!
Original Udder Balm is so good, that there
are many knock-offs out there. Some have even claimed to have the
“Original Udder Balm” reformulated in some way, but they do not have,
nor have they ever had our formulas!
There is only one “Original” Udder Balm has
has no equal! And there is nothing like it for soothing and
moisturizing dry and cracked skin. No other bag balm or salve has the
unique blend of Aloe Vera, Lanolin, and Vitamins A, D & E. So if it
doesn’t have the blue and white label with a cow, it’s not Original
Some folks still call Original Udder Balm
‘utter balm’, ‘udder cream’ or ‘udder butter’ and that is ok, as long as
they go home with the good stuff, and not some knock off!
