We are a small, family-owned business in West Des Moines, Iowa, in the heart of the Midwest, dedicated to providing the best products and personal service possible.

Our story began in 1989 as a computer consulting firm. In 2000, we launched a small website to sell and ship Original Udder Balm—our favorite skin care product, originally manufactured by one of our consulting clients. As the website’s popularity grew, we expanded our product lineup and, by 2007, were shipping thousands of orders and helping keep skin soft and smooth across the country.

When Qualis Group, the original manufacturer of Original Udder Balm, closed in late 2007, we weren’t willing to let a great product disappear. We negotiated the purchase of the original formulas and rights to Original Udder Balm, found a trusted USA manufacturer, and focused our company exclusively on producing premium skin care products under our own standards.

Today, producing Original Udder Balm, Lineman’s Professional Hand & Arm Cream, ubalm, and other specialty skin care products is our main focus. We’ve also expanded to offer natural pain relief creams, equine and companion animal supplements, and Nan’s Nummies homemade baking mixes.

Supporting American workers is central to our mission. Our labels, boxes, jars, pumps, ingredients, and, of course, our products themselves are all sourced and made in the USA whenever possible. We never cut corners on quality to save a few cents.

Every product is made to our specifications using our original formulas, and we personally inspect and ship every order ourselves.

Our official company name is MBMA Corporation, but you’ll find us online as OriginalUdderBalm.com.

We are still a small, family-owned and operated business—you’ll usually get one of us on the phone when you call. We believe in real personal service because we love getting it ourselves.
